EU Officials Condemn US Move as ‘Coercion’
European leaders such as Emmanuel Macron charged Washington of “bullying and threats”, following the travel bans targeted figures who have been central to campaigns to introduce laws regulating American tech companies.
“For far too long, ideologues in Europe have led coordinated campaigns to pressure US companies to punish US perspectives they oppose,” stated the US secretary of state in a social media post. “This government will not stand for such actions of extraterritorial censorship.”
